Who are the speakers?
Speakers are four established Malaysian photographers with a collaborative experience of more than 10 years in the wedding and portrait photography industry. Anna-Rina, Asther Lau, Fiona Lim and Grace Tan will come together during this fun weekend to present to you their individual strengths in this educational photography workshop.
What workshop is this?
A photography workshop for female photographers by female professionals. It covers both wedding and portrait photography as well as a multitude of other subjects related to people photography.
When is the the workshop?
March 10 – 11, 2012 (Saturday and Sunday)

The Terrace at Hock Choon (Off Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur)
How much will it cost?
RM700 : Early bird rate before 31 January 2012
RM850 : Normal Price (Registration closes on 28 February 2012)
Can I get a discount?
If you sign up before 31 January 2012, you will enjoy the early bird special at RM150 off!
How many spots are there?
Space is limited to the first 40 people.
Who can join Bloom Workshops?
Any ladies with a keen interest in photography! However, basic knowledge of photography is a pre-requisite as this workshop is at an intermediate level.
Participants would be expected to know the basic functions of their cameras as most of the topics covered would be for those who want to delve into more than just learning about the f-stops or shutter speed or other techy gear info.
Most of the topics are photography related as well as about building a photography business.
[UPDATED 26th January: Due to a number of requests, we are now offering a FREE 2 hour basic photography class to confirmed participants on a separate date prior to the workshop. Beginners are encouraged to attend this class]
Do I need to own a camera to join?
Even if you don’t own a camera, we will still love you! But of course, if you do and if it’s a Canon, we can do a little huddle and dance together, as all four of us use Canon cameras.
How are Bloom Workshops different from other photography workshops, conferences and seminars?
Bloom Workshops is created by female photographers, specifically for female photographers. We hope to inspire women out there to be creative and pursue their dreams in photography. All the workshop topics will revolve from a woman’s perspective.
What should I bring to the workshop?
If you own a DSLR, lenses and a flash, then bring it! Otherwise, just bring a note pad and an open mind! Laptops are not necessary.
Will meals be provided?
A Japanese Lunch from Fukuharu Restaurant and two tea breaks will be served each day.
I have registered and paid the fees but I am unable to attend. Can I get a refund?
All fees are non-refundable. You may transfer your spot to another female photographer who is able to attend. Just email the details to us at hello@bloomworkshops.my up to 7 days before the workshop date.
